TODAY!! 2-24-10

Ok so while in class i really was so anxious to just use my phone and i dnt kno why...maybe beacuse i was getting alittle bored and my attention wasnt on what the professor was doing or the fact that i seen five people texting or just fooling with their phones during class..the class is from 2-3:15 and for me by two i would like to be done with classes...but as you can see that did not happen and i was in class totally bored..lol..and i was missing my phone..lol..is that wrong..???

NO TECHNOLOGY!...

Ok so this is my third day operating without socializing on the internet, without texting and only using the phone work realted to group projects, no televison...Ok so the first day I wasnt using my phone by 12am my mother had called my godmom my sunt and my boss! i had to call them and let them know about my class project that i was doing..my friend was very upset he thought something had happend to me and he was mad that I didnt call, my godmom has yet to get a repsonse from me...lol..the people around me were more disappointed than me!..cause they werent able to reach me..no by tuesday i was getting frustrated cause I couldnt call my friend just to have a general conversation and to text my sister so it has been a bit challenging but i will let you know how the rest of this day goes......

AFTER READING THIS BOOK IN THE FASTED TIME THAT I HAVE EVER READ A BOOK WHICH WAS IN A TWO IN HALF DAY PERIOD AND WITH OTHER WORK TO DO I WAS PRETTY IMPRESSED WITH MYSELF..SO ABOUT THE BOOK I WAS SO KEYED IN TO THE BOOK AND THEN THERE WERE SO MANY TIMES WHILE READING WHEN I WOULD WRITE..HUH?..OR WHAT IS THAT? OR WHAT DOES THAT MEAN..IT WAS VERY INTERESTING TO SEE THINGS IN A "FUTURISTIC" LIGHT. ANDERSON WROTE THE BOOK AS IF IT WAS IN THE PRESENT TIME AND IT WAS LIKE YOU HAD TO GET CAUGHT UP TO WHAT WAS GOING ON..LIKE JUST STARTING TO WATCH A SOAP OPERA OR A SERIES TV SHOW IN THE MIDDLE OF IT SEASON,EXCEPT YOU DON'T GET A RECAP OF WHAT WAS GOING ON IN THE LAST SEASON AND IT WAS SO INTERESTING HOW AS YOU READ IT AND IN SOME WERID WAY OR ANOTHER YOU REALLY BEGAN TO UNDERSTAD THE COURSE OF EVENTS THAT ARE TAKING PLACE AT THE MOMENTS THAT CAME UP IN THE BOOK I REALLY ENJOYED THE BOOK ALL IN ALL IT WAS A PRETTY SAD ENDING BUT THEN WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT IT VOILET LEFT ON WITH HIM ALL THE DIFFERNT THINGS THAT HE NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT SHE MADE HIM BECOME A CRITICAL THINKER KIND OF LIKE WHAT DR. SHANNON IS DOING..LOL..IN SOME SENSE SHE IS FORCING US TO LOOK AT THINGS THAT ARE VERY COMMON AND HAVING US QUESTION IS IT RIGHT WRONG OR INDIFFERENT....

ABOUT THE TV..CHECK THIS OUT..

I was watching this show last night called "UNDERCOVER BOSS" on CBS and I was enlightened about how inspirational it was. They take bosses of big corporations and they go undercover and become entry level workers for a week and they go to sites in different areas. The episode yesterday was about the COO of Waste Management and he was able to meet the very people that keep his business going and how people are affected by the different protocols that he has put into place and he also got to see the things that managers did that he was not awhere of. Through doing this he was able to see how hard the job was and one of the jobs he was let go (fired) by one of the guys because he just didnt "cut it" and this guy who did the job had been dealing with dialasis for 19 years and he could do more than him. But anywho to make a long story short he was inspired by all the people that he worked with and he was able to change things, he promoted people, he also gave the man dealing with dialasis time off to talk to people and he also became a mentor for those dealing with health issues in the company, he created a position for one of the guys to come and tal to people about making this hard "nasty" job fun and exciting. It really made me see that the tv isn't so bad but at the same time we still have a ways to go but this really made me smile and I wanted to share it with you guys..thank you.I hope it enlightens you too..

ABOUT THE ADS!

IT was very interesting actually taking time to look at the different ads that we encounter on a daily basis. It made me see how we as a society don't even focus on the things that we see because there is so many differnt shocks and jolts that we experience, and us taking time out to focus on the things that we see we just over look them.
After watching the video and looking through the magazine ads and the food ads..lol..we see that we have so much work to do. Though it is obvious that we exploit females, we do it collectivley women just are effected more by it. I'm glad that this was brought to my attention because ever since I have been telling my peers and showing them ads. So it has definitley enlightened me and my peers as well. I guess this just shows us that we have a lot of work to do in making society aware of the things that we do to one another..
